Method
- Divide the beef into 4 loose balls and flatten each to about 3/4 inch thick. Press a shallow dimple into the center of each.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Heat the grill to high. Cook the patties 4 minutes without pressing.
- Flip, top with cheese, and cook 3 to 4 minutes more, until the center reaches 160°F.
- Toast the buns on the grill for 1 minute.
- Rest the burgers 3 minutes, then build with your toppings.
